LOBLOLLY INDUSTRIES SELECTS 300 SERIES PLANETARY GEARBOX FOR NEW SCRIMTEC PLANT.
Hebron, Kentucky March, 2007. Loblolly Industries, of Shuqualak, Mississippi, and Mid-South Engineering Co., of Hot Springs, AR, have selected Bonfiglioli 300 Series Planetary Gearboxes as the Gearbox of choice in the new 400,000-square-foot SCRIMTEC Plant at the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Industrial Park in Meridian. The plant is expected to open in mid-year 2008.
“The features of the 300 Series Planetary Gearbox made it the perfect choice for this new plant”, according to Al McInvale, of Mid-South Engineering Co. “We really like the fact that the 300 Series Planetary comes standard with Ductile Iron Housings and Heavy-Duty Bearings. These features have proven to be very important when handling our wide range of load applications.”
The new Loblolly plant will produce an engineered wood product called Scrimtec. Scrimtec is the first and only structural engineered beam product made from pine plantation thinnings.
The 300 series Planetary drives specified by Mid-South Engineering also feature:
